DESCRIPTION:Utility Tapes presents a rare opportunity to hear international
 ly recognised drone and ambient artists in the intimate 16th C Bishops' Ho
 use\n\n\n\nAidan Baker\n\nAidan Baker is a classically-trained multi-instr
 umentalist focusing on the electric guitar as his primary instrument. Usin
 g prepared and alternate methods of playing the guitar\, along with variou
 s electronic effects\, Baker creates music which generally falls within th
 e ambient/experimental genre but draws on influences from post-rock\, shoe
 gaze\, electronica\, neo-classical\, and jazz.\n\nA highly prolific artist
 \, Baker has released numerous recorded works\, both solo and with various
  group projects—most notably his dreamsludge duo\, Nadja—and including
  collaborations with Tim Hecker\, Carla Bozulich\, Jussi Lehtisalo\, and A
 ndrea Belfi\, among others—on such independent labels as Karlrecords\, G
 izeh Records\, Important Records\, and his own imprint\, Broken Spine Prod
 uctions. A frequent live performer\, Baker has toured extensively around t
 he world\, including appearances at such international festivals as FIMAV\
 , SXSW\, Incubate\, Unsound\, Roadburn\, and Mutek.\n\nOriginally from Tor
