 n\n\n\nAN EVENING WITH FOLKLORE TAPES\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSAM MCLOUGHLIN &amp\; 
 DAVID CHATTON BARKER\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThis will be a very special Sonido Poli
 fonico Presents evening at Bishops’ House.\n\nThe Folklore Tapes’ Sam 
 McLoughlin and David Chatton Barker will be presenting a site-specific per
 formance\, focused on the history and folklore surrounding the building\, 
 its Tudor origins and the apotropaic marks on the woodwork within.\n\n&nbs
 p\;\n\nDavid co-runs the endlessly fascinating Folklore Tapes label\, and 
 is a film-maker and visual artist\, as well as a musician specialising in 
 collages of field recordings and live improvisation. Sam incorporates hand
 made percussion into his sets as well as bowed textures and microphone fee
 dback. Together they make deeply contemplative drone-improv where microton
 al meditations\, field recordings and scrapings all contribute to highly-c
 harged atmospheres and evocative imagined landscapes.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n
