Bishops’ House has provided thousands of schoolchildren with first hand experience of being in a ‘Tudor’ house. It’s an experience they do not forget and many adult visitors mention their first visit with their school. Children love the whole experience of disovering the past whilst actually being in a house where the imagination is set free to transport them to these times.
We have a dedicated team of volunteers who are experienced primary school teachers and give guided tours, offer a handling collection and craft activities. As Bishops’ House is located in Meersbrook Park there are also opportunities for you to plan playground or nature study based activities, weather permitting.
For more information or to place a booking please get in touch via the contact form below, mentioning dates that work for you if you would like to make a booking. We can then check to confirm volunteer availability and get back to you to confirm dates.
