Dave Perlis +Rob Storey
New Mexican singer-songwriter Dave Perlis plays acoustic adobe grotto ghost campfire music. He has toured the world with acts including Ratatat and Despot. He is perhaps best known as the creator and co-host of the long-running supernatural call in show Night People on legendary freeform station WFMU.
Named one of WIRE’s top albums of 2022, Rob Storey’s latest LP, The Eventual Window adds Spanish ballads and Moroccan melodies to his tragicomic repertoire. A DIY icon, Storey has led variations of the Orchestre Murphy in London since the 1980s. He and Perlis recently collaborated on the French pop album Croque Madame (Emotional Response). He also co-hosts the Club Integral radio show on Resonance FM.
James Brodie
Once upon a time Sheffield schooled in Chinese, James Brodie now resides back in his native Edinburgh. He likes to pluck nonsense from nothing, setting it to simplistic guitar progression, weaving amusing ditties for all to share.
Persona
“Refereshingly, Post Everything” – SP
Sheffield duo, Persona, could lazily be put into into known categories, but that would be missing the point.
